Here we are, the year 2005 is in full swing, the time is passing before we can catch up with it and we are looking back to see all that has been accomplished, all the progress, all the things we did and all the things we should have done differently.

The year 2004 was important in many ways, being one of the formative years for our relatively new organization, but most of all was important because we have grown from one stage to another. We made the transition from the “experimentation” period to establishing the methods, the establishing of principles and philosophy, a period of settling and teaching others what we learned so far. We pause for a bit before we start a new push, a new growth spur.  

As you will see further on in our report, the past year was dominated by the push for teaching others all that we know and the desire for growth by learning from others that are in “the business” for far longer than we are. I visited Keystone Human Services and studied the ways they work with the disabled with the clear goal to apply that knowledge here, in a “custom made” manner.

To that end the activities we engaged in are revelatory, being geared to teaching and growing.

The new things that the last year brought were the seminar series for NGO leaders, and the summer camp for the whole family – the disabled and his family – to promote the unity within the families. A special attention will be given in this report to the Weekend Club because of the wonderful results it yielded and reactions we had received to it.

As we enter 2005 we see it will be an exciting year and we go ahead with full confidence that the progress we will make will be for the benefit of the children and society.
